Painting Sucks when...

Painting Sucks when...

1) You decide to try something new and get it right the first time. Then you decide "Hey I need to bring those colors together a bit", so you apply wash. Then you wash out the awesome blending you just did and turn it into solid gold ass!

2) You paint some models for a friend and then you paint some for yourself. Then you realize the job you did for your friend was better than the one you did for yourself.

3) You finish paint a miniature and then drop it on the floor.... then the cat attacks it like its a ball of Catnip.

4) You think the model you just painted is highlighted with the proper colors, then you take it into normal light and see that in fact the job you just did can only be seen under Film Crew Lighting.

painting blows

Murray has the right idea of buying the teams pre-painted. Unless you're Nitnit, I don't think there is anybody in the league that actually enjoys painting.

At least we only have a maximum of 16 models in this game. The number of models in WFB and W40K to paint is ridiculous.

I enjoy thinking about

I enjoy thinking about painting and what I could do with new figs... the actual execution however is so dreadful that it scares me to a painting standstill.

I just found a bunch of my old Mk. 6 plastic marines to to practice on... I'll finally paint my Serengit when I get some of my errors out on the practice minis.

Funnily I used to enjoy

Funnily I used to enjoy painting when I was a teenager but now it just annoys me and I just want the team ready to play. I have always wanted to make a very modified Chaos team though with detachable limbs for mutations and the like, that might be fun, not sure about painting them though.

I love pinting figs.  I know

I love pinting figs.  I know lots of people don't have the time but I really enjoy seeing what I can do with paints on a fig.S.

I do enjoy painting if I can

I do enjoy painting if I can get myself to stop doing other crap and sit down and do it. But there is one thing I hate, you have an idea in your head of what you want them to look like but I can never make them look like the imagined picture.
