So after my rather dissapointing season of 2-3-5, I decided I was the Tie man, maybe as a Coach my half time speech was good but just not inspiring enough for the win. Anyway yesterday after 2 very close games 9 and 10 both ending in Ties it was deduced that Jason W and his Carrion Crawlers would be playing my team Frengard Foxes for a playoff spot.
To be honest I was a little worried as my team lost Game 1 of the Season to Jason's Skaven, but going into the game my TV was slightly higher due to my stupidly high Skill Costs. Jason selected a Bloodweiser Babe and Dirty Tricks card for his inducements.
The game was very close in the TD's, on each offensive drive the offensive team would score in 2-3 turns but as the game progressed the Humans were really putting the hurt on the Skaven. Towards the end of the 2nd half it was 3-3 and there were 9 Skaven in the CAS box, 0 Humans. This was an obvious advantage and with just 1 turn left I managed to roll a Blitz on the drive which gave me a great advantage as I could mark the remaining Skaven and even reach the ball and pick it up with a Blitzer. This left Jason 1 turn to get the ball but he was heavily marked and attempted a dodge out only to have Nuffle screw him with 2 failed dodges and a turnover, on my last turn I did not dally and just ran that ball in for a 4-3 win.
I will say that even though Skaven are squishy, man they can score fast if you leave a gap, and they do not need many players on field to score.
Going into Cup Day my team is sitting at approximately TV 163 with 11 games under their belt, I think this is my best Team Rating at the end of any 1st Season.

Crazy game
Yeah, your Round of 12 game was nuts. I'm not sure if 9 casualties vs. in one game is a record breaker, but it's definitely in the running. That was a playoff game indeed with lots of drama and even a blitz at the end to win it.
Good game by Woody to even keep it close with so many players off the field. Even with 9 off he still would have managed to bring it to o.t. if not for the blitz.
Good game Kristian. TV 163 walking into the playoffs is around what the Dragons were last year. Highest ones I can think of for largest rookie-season gains were Jesse's Snap Dragons at TV 176, and Darryl's Blood Reign was TV 181. These were their TV's prior going into the playoffs.

True, you certainly picked a good time to drop the drawmaster routine. I think your humies can certainly do some damage now. Did you get a bunch of skills to play with (4tds + 9CAS sounds pretty prolific for SPP).
