I feel like I'm Markus Naslund leading the Canucks.
Heading into game 10, I was 8-0-1 with finishing as the top seed in C-League under my control. Instead of securing top spot, I got my ass kicked by DarkAngelDave and his late-blooming Necro.
What bugs me isn't that:
- I blew a shot at my second touchdown (and atleast a draw) by triple-skulling with my mino
- Dave scored the winning TD on turn 16 with Flesh Golem who dodged and GFI'd for the score!
- I dropped from 1st seed to 4th seed in 4 turns
- I gained almost no SPP at all to recover for cup day
Nope, what bugs me is that Dave killed my ogre (Elephantitis-apoth failed to a still dead!) and star blitzer (Chlamydia) and -MA'd another marauder! I didn't just loose seeding, I lost part of the core of my team.
What a crap sandwich to chew on before heading into the playoffs!
I actually wish I'd dropped all the way to #5 seed so I could rebuild a bit in round twelve rather than go straight into the postseason without money or SPP to make up for the losses.
Bah. I can only hope that Nuffle uniformly hoops the round of twelve teams appropriately and that the top team to emerge from that round is seriously bloodied before our match.
DarkAngelDave: well-played man. I don't begrudge the loss, just the timing. Good luck against the 'Flings and I hope we get a rematch on cup day (albeit, after Treemen have had their way with your skilled players
).

Whoa!
I didn't even know you were 8-1 walking into that game. That's crazy having a game like that at this point. Something wicked indeed. I heard about that Flesh Gollum touchdown, but I didn't know that he killed your Ogre. Brutal.
Hope to see you recover Kavs and face you in the Thunderbowl final! Hopefully your quaterfinal opponent gets raped beforehand.

In all seriousness, that game is a serious kick in the nuts! Sometimes I feel that bloodbowl is more about managing the team then wins and losses. And losing two players like than just hurts and the game really hurts.
I had a small amount of adverstity losing a werewolf in my second game, but that is okay early in the season. All experienced player losses from this point on hurt!
Best of luck in the finals and lets all hope that Tony shows Tyler the meaing of pain! Death to all stunties!

I wish it was death to all stunties. Lately all my Saurus have died. Well in my last 3 games I have had 3 Saurus die and 2 Skinks. 5 deaths in 3 games you ask? Yes that is correct.

Well, I hope all goes well for me in my game against Rude Slay's Chaos Dwarves. My Orcs are really looking forward to a rematch. I remember your Ogre helping you score that last touchdown in our game to give you the 2-1 win. ;)

He means Elephantitis
He's talking about my Ogre. I pulled out a win agianst him in week 5 I think by having the ogre catch a kickoff on the LOS, move downfield and handoff for the winning TD.
Sigh. Anyway, I'm brainstorming names for his replacement and Dr Jellyfinger seems to be the leading candidate.

Kontract Killaz were horribly unlucky in that game and I'm sure they'll be the overdogs against me in round 1 if the Chaos Dwarves can't pull off some magic.
